This is apretty decent book and I enjoyed it a lot. Others have been critical of its structure and comprehensiveness and well sure, it could have been timelined better and included way more detail and consequently have been quite a snore! As presented it offers insights into the key events that shaped how BMW got to be who they were, at least in 2006 when this book was published. Since then the competition has closed the gap even more and some think BMW has, in 2015, been matched by others, including (of all brands) Cadillac. It would be great if this book could be updated to present time to see how the author interprets things now, but if you can remember the timeframe the book encompasses, I think most car nerds, and especially BMW fanatics, will enjoy this book.

Awesome book, very enjoyable as a BMW fan, but also inspiring on a personal level. The degree to which BMW knows who they are is something we should all strive for. Management teams come and go, just like phases of our lives and marriages, but to remember what makes you you even while continuing to evolve and improve is crucial.

Generally, a good read! Because it was written 11 years ago; it failed to answer many things I was curious about.

Well, English is my second language.May be that is the reason. But I must tell you, I couldn't pass the first 10 pages.Its like chewing a gum in your sleep.
